Hi Tim, I came across your work via the affinitySpotlight article. Can you kindly explain why you used Affinity Designer (AD) to colour this rather than Affinity Photo (AP) ? Thanks & Regards
That’s a good question! I don’t really have a firm answer, except I tend to use Designer by default when drawing digitally, and simply switching to the Pixel persona to get the raster brushes is nice and simple. I suppose I find layer masking slightly more straightforward in Designer, but that may be just because I don’t use Photo enough. I recently have tried to use Publisher as my default app and switch between the different modes. This usually works fine, especially when working on a multi image/page project, but I like having separate files for artwork. I’m still finding a happy workflow since Publisher was released, but I’m sure there’s enough flexibility in all the apps to allow you to choose. Thanks for the comment! T
