Concept art for a project. I haven’t touched Blender in a while and it was good to get back into it for a play. There are probably too many colours in this, but it’s not bad. The colour palette is taken from PICO-8. EDIT: I rebuilt the lighthouse using Windows 10’s super simple 3D BuilderContinue reading “The Lighthouse”
I and my daughter made some bird sprites in PICO-8 quite some time ago, and only now have I got around to posting them to the PICO-8 BBS. Here’s a thing: Drawing with a pen and colouring with pencils is faster, better and more enjoyable than using a computer. Who knew?
I haven’t given up drawing with a pen (quite the opposite), but I thought I’d post some pixel art game concept work that I don’t think is quite right (yet). The idea was to try making some pixel art backgrounds look more “hand-drawn”. I don’t think it’s the right approach for the game I’m workingContinue reading “Discarded Pixels in Blue”
